Helpnet: making steps to engage children and families in vital medical progress
WELCOME LETTER
With great pleasure, I welcome you to the website of the Hellenic Pediatric Network (HELPnet).
HELPnet is a collaborative initiative of leading Greek pediatric researchers and institutions, united by a shared commitment to advancing child health, being in strong connection through the Greek National Hub with the conect4children Stichting (c4c-S, https://conect4children.eu/#services%20_blank).
The c4c-S represents the sustainable continuation of a seven-year Innovative Medicines Initiative 2 (IMI2) project, established with the primary objective of advancing the development of novel, safe, and effective medicines and vaccines for children.
Our network brings together academic institutions and pediatric departments across Greece that are actively engaged in high-quality clinical research involving neonates, infants, children, and adolescents. Through scientific excellence and strong national collaboration coordinated by the Unit of Coordination and Conduct of Clinical Studies (UCCCS), HELPnet contributes to strengthening pediatric clinical research capacity both nationally and internationally, while fostering a culture of innovation, transparency, and excellence in pediatric science.
The c4c-S research network unites national pediatric networks and European multinational subspecialty networks, alongside pharmaceutical partners, major patient advocacy groups, children’s hospitals, and research organizations throughout Europe. Its strength lies in the collaboration of 20 national networks, encompassing more than 500 pediatric research sites across the continent, forming one of the most dynamic and impactful pediatric research ecosystems in Europe.
Together, we share a common vision: to transform and accelerate the discovery, development, and equitable access to innovative medicines and vaccines for young patients, ultimately improving the health and well-being of children across Europe and shaping a healthier future for generations to come.
We thank you for visiting our website and for your interest in our work, and we invite you to join us in advancing a shared European mission for children’s health.
